Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
January 26th — April 18th
Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays: by appointment only
Wednesday: walk-in only, 9:30am-12:00pm
What to bring to your appointment:
copy of last year's tax return
social security card and photo ID
all tax-related forms (W2, 1099, 1098, etc.)
documentation for deducations, credits, childcare provider tax ID (if applicable)
a voided check (to submit your bank account information for direct deposit of tax refund)
Take the stress out of tax time
During your appointment, you'll fill out several forms and sign a document confirming that you're leaving your tax information for preparation. You will leave all of your tax documents with the AAFCC and schedule a date for pick-up.
An experienced tax preparer will go over all of your information and will be available to answer any questions you may have.
You'll return on your scheduled date and time to pick up your completed return(s). We will review your return(s) with you and answer any questions. After you sign your return(s) you'll receive a copy for your files. All original documents will be returned.
Note: we do not process returns that are "married filing separately"
This program is supported by the Butte County Department of Behavioral Health and Prop 63.
